A Transitional rowhouse

For a Transitional-style rowhouse in Capitol Hill, the clients wanted the charm of an English cottage garden but with the resilience that would hold up to intense DC summers. We incorporated some of the clients’ vintage garden ornaments along with new hardscape elements including wrought iron fences, Kentucky limestone, brick and bluestone walkways and exuberant plantings in lavenders, grays and primrose yellows and pinks to mix the old and new elements with the architecture of the rowhouse.
