Master plan and styling photos for new project, a family home on Hill Street in Southampton, NY. The client is renovating the property in phases with a new pool constructed last fall, new pool house planned for fall 2022 and a new residence slated for construction in 2025. We broke the long property into sections with phased landscape construction to be completed in parts as architectural construction progresses. Phase 1 work this spring includes a rethought entrance and parking court layout in classic Hamptons style with purple hydrangea 'Bloomstruck' and chartreuse Hydrangea 'Limetta’ for a knockout summer show. A temporary stepping stone pathway with creeping Mazus reptans in the joints leads to the newly completed pool, where plantings of white hydrangea 'Annabelle', gold Yarrow, and purple spikes of Russian Sage are complemented by pots of annual Fountain Grass, airy purpletop vervain and Mexican Hairgrass to float in the wind.
