For a client in Southampton we revised the existing property layout to delineate spaces, enhance the seasonal color, and to create more privacy. A revised entry sequence with new privet hedges separates the house from the street and additional parking. Around the house and pool classic Astilbe, Daylily, Catnip and Allium and Joe Pye Weed create a relaxed, low-maintenance summer show. A play lawn for children runs along the long side yard, while the rear is reserved for grilling, pool and hot tub, as well as the renovated guest house. The new pool (installed as phase 1) will be enclosed with new hydrangea-lined walks, hornbeam screens and Amelanchier bosques to create architectural structure and direct views.
