An estate on Maryland’s Eastern Shore
Forrest Landing
Forrest Landing, Easton, MD
We redesigned and renovated the formal boxwood garden in classical cruciform and lozenge style. Partly shaded by existing Southern magnolias and half in sun, the half-acre walled garden contains lush formal lawns with flanking planting beds filled with colorful flowering and foliage plants. The garden borders include rare native specimen shrubs (Franklinia Illicium, Halesia), scented roses ('Hansa', 'Madame Hardy' & 'New Dawn') , native and adapted perennials, many varieties of spring bulbs, and espaliered fruit trees designed for a multi-season display of flowers, leaves and berries.
